| GIOCHI DELLE MONTAGNE orizzonte d'avventura |
Il Museo Nazionale della Montagna, nato a Torino nel 1874, per oltre un secolo ha mantenuto una fisionomia unitaria concentrata sulle sale espositive. L'incremento delle collezioni ha fatto in modo che, prima lentamente e poi con maggiore decisione, la struttura abbia iniziato a crescere e ad articolarsi. Questo ha portato nel 2003 alla creazione dell'Area Documentazione e nel 2005, dopo una ristrutturazione e un riallestimento generale, all'apertura della nuova Area Espositiva e dell'Area Incontri. Oggi il Museo si compone quindi di tre realtà diverse ma complementari; una di queste, l'Area Documentazione. nel rispetto delle reciproche autonomie, riunisce il Centro Documentazione e la Cineteca Storica e Videoteca del Museomontagna, il Centro Italiano Studio Documentazione Alpinismo Extraeuropeo e Biblioteca Nazionale del CAI. Giochi delle montagne è il quinto di una serie di volumi dedicati al Centro Documentazione, con i quali si vuole valorizzare un patrimonio che negli ultimi trent'anni ha avuto un incremento enorme. I giochi su montagna, alpinismo, sci, esplorazione e spedizioni polari, costituiscono una collezione unica per la consistenza e la rarità dei pezzi conservati. Sono testimonianze che, attraverso il divertimento, hanno permesso a generazioni di scoprire la geografia alpina, le vette del mondo e le grandi avventure. È un lavoro nato dalla collaborazione tra il Museo Nazionale della Montagna e la Regione Piemonte, con sostegno della Compagnia di San Paolo e la collaborazione della Camera di Commercio Industria Artizimuto e Agricoltura di Trento, uniti per far conoscere una collezione di grande interesse e completezza. Inaugurated in Turin in 1874, the Museo Nazionale della Montagna remained virtually, unchanged for more than a centuntury, focused on its exhibition halls. The increase in its collections led to the structure's growth and organisational expansion, first slowly and then with greater impetus. This gave rise to the creation of the Documentation Area in 2003 and to the opening of the new Exhibition Area and Meeting Area in 2005, after restoration and the refurbishment and rehanging of the galleries. Today the Museum is thus made up of three different but complementary departments: one of these, the Documentation Area, combines the Documentation Centre, the Historical Film and Video Library of Museomontagna, CISDAE and the National Libraiy of CAI. Giochi delle montagne (Mountain Games) is the fifth in a series of volumes focusingon the collections of the Documentation Centre that aims to make known the heritage conserved there which, over the fast thirty years, has increased enormously. Games frusing on mountains, mountaineering, skiing exploration and polar expeditions make up a unique collection thanks to the number and rarity of the items conserved Through entertainment, these objects have permitted entire generations to discover the geography of mountains and the world's highest peaks and great adventures. The publications arose from a close collaboration between the Museo Nazionale della Montagna and the Regione Piemonte, with the support of the Compagnia di San Paolo and the Trento Chamber of Commerce Industry Artisans and Agriculture, united togheter in the effort to make known a very complete and hugely interesting collection. |
