INTRODUCTION
 The progressive shrinking of city apartments, together with the widespread increasing cost of housing, has led to a search for interior designs that make the most of the area available, natural light sources and storage space. Interior designers and decorators have had to adapt quickly to this new reality by implementing resources and devices that are hardly ever used in larger homes. The result is a philosophy of life centered on the small-scale, the flexible and the adaptable. It is not only the size of the apartments that has changed; our style of life has also been altered along with it.
 Il progressivo restringersi degli appartamenti urbani, insieme all'aumento dei costi degli alloggi, ha condotto alla ricerca di una progettazione d'interni in grado di sfruttare al massimo lo spazio a disposizione, le fonti di luce naturale e i mobili contenitori. Designer e decoratori si sono adattati rapidamente a questa nuova realtà mettendo in campo risorse e strategie non necessarie nelle case più spaziose. Il risultato è una filosofia di vita incentrata su una scala ridotta, sulla flessibilità e sull'adattabilità. Non sono solo le dimensioni degli appartamenti a essere cambiate, anche il nostro stile di vita si è modificato di conseguenza. |
